Capital Law helps University of South Wales with Netflix location
We worked with the University of South Wales after Netflix approached them wanting to use some of their location for filming a new production.
What we did:
We helped University of South Wales with negotiating their location agreement. Rather than do it blind, we went to the site – not only for our own benefit (and day out of the office) but also to explain to USW what they might need to expect when they let a film crew into their property. Because we’ve got experience in production, we had a good idea of how to maximise different areas for different agreements.
What happened:
We successfully negotiated a location agreement that University of South Wales were happy with, and that meant they were making the most of their premises. We also successfully got Netflix involved in some community initiatives as part of the rights – working with USW’s film school and offering work experience placements.
