Mediation

Our mediators help resolve workplace problems early - saving you time and money

Workplace issues – like capability, bullying, or personal differences – can damage morale, affect performance, and lead to expensive Employment Tribunal claims.

But, they don’t have to. If you get us involved early, we can help help save both time and money – and avoid repercussions further down the line.

Our Employment lawyers work together with expert HR Consultants, Capital People, to find the best solution for you.

We offer three different solutions:
Facilitation

We’ll do this at the earliest stage.

If your employment relationship is starting to break down, it’s often possible to get things back on track with a little impartial, independent help.

We’ll meet with everyone involved, working with them to get to the bottom of the problem, and guide them towards a practical solution. This way, you’ll be able to resolve issues informally, and stop working relationships from completely breaking down.

It’s also a proactive move on your part.

Mediation

We’ll use mediation to resolve disputes before they get to final stage grievances, disciplinaries or ET claims.

Our ADR Group Accredited Mediators will guide you through the process:

  • the employee meets a representative of the employer at a neutral venue
  • our impartial mediator is present throughout
  • the employee and employer go into separate rooms, with our mediator acting as a go-between – conveying suggested solutions each way
  • everyone has the chance to be heard – remaining in control until everyone agrees. All discussions are confidential.

Investigation

If things have reached final grievance or disciplinary stages, it’s important to conduct a thorough investigation. But, if you’re management or in-house HR, your employees might not see you as completely impartial.

Our Employment lawyers and HR consultants can step in and give you:

    • the comprehensive investigation you need
    • peace of mind that you have done all you can to make the process fair.
