Garyn first joined Capital as a paralegal in the employment team, and became a trainee with us in 2020.

During his time in our employment team, Garyn developed expertise in HR issues, GDPR compliance, and employment litigation. As a fluent Welsh speaker, he is happy to accept instructions and provide advice in Welsh, and has done extensive policy drafting and policy reviews in both Welsh and English. He is now working in our commercial disputes team, where he is assisting in a wide variety of disputes including contractual, property, and regulatory. He is also assisting the public law team.

Before joining us, Garyn worked as a legal assistant in the immigration and and asylum law firm, QLS, assisting on a variety of cases; from Tier 1 business immigration cases to asylum claims. He also previously volunteered at the local foodbank and on the Bail Observation Project, ensuring access to justice for individuals attending to Asylum and Immigration Tribunal.

Garyn studies Politics and International Relations BA at the University of York and obtained his Graduate Diploma in Law and  Legal Practice Certificate from Cardiff University. A keen writer, he helps the teams provide regular content on issues most topical to our clients.
